See What A 37- Year- Old Man Did After Ra’ping A Minor In Osun State

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates Court which sat in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Wednesday, finally remanded a 37- year- old man identified as Abiodun Babatunde who was paraded for r3ping a minor.

The suspect who was arraigned on four counts bothering on unlawful s*xual assault and threat to life, allegedly carried out the crime on 20th March at Surulere Area of Ikirun, Osun state.

While addressing the court, the prosecutor, Elisha Olusegun, said Babatunde s*xually assaulted a 4- year- old girl (name withheld) and thereafter threatened to kill her if she ever told anybody about the case.

The prosecutor said after he carried out the act the victim had to undergo a medical procedure due to the injuries she sustained.

The offences carried out were said to have contravened Sections 31(1)(2) and 32 of the Child’ s Rights law of Osun State 2007, as well as, Sections 360 and 86 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

The defendant pleas was not taken based on the nature of the case, although his charges were read for him to hear.

The presiding magistrate, A. Odeleye, ordered that the defendant be remanded in Ilesa Correctional Center and adjourned the matter to November 3 for more Investigations.
