You may be tired from caring for your child all day and ready to sleep at any time but your child may not appear to be on the same page as you in this regard and can start crying. As a new mother, you are probably very worried because your baby is sleepy and crying at the same time. However, it is nothing to worry about because babies have spent their whole lives in your womb where everything was designed to make them feel safe and secure and it might be hard to adapt to their new environment.
Here are 3 reasons why your baby cries before sleeping
1 Inability to fall asleep
Most time when babies before falling asleep, there is nothing wrong with them. The sobbing is simply a reaction to their bodies becoming accustomed to the new sleep cycles, which are unusual for them at first. You should note that the body will eventually adapt to it after three months have passed.
2 Physical discomfort
Crying is pretty much a baby’s only means of communication, which is why they cry whenever they need to communicate something, and most of the time, it’s something that irritates them or makes them uncomfortable that causes them to cry. This can also happen at bedtime if the surroundings aren’t conducive to falling asleep.
3 An effort to establish social contact
Another reason a baby could start crying around bedtime has to do with his behavior more than anything else. His need for attention, as well as a need for social interaction, may prompt him to communicate with you by wailing loudly.
