Dr. Maryam Shetty blamed life’s inherent irrationality for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s removal of her name from the list of nominees for cabinet positions, but insisted she harbored no ill will toward anyone.

Shetty claimed that being nominated was a testament to her ability and a proof that the nation was prepared to select young women from the most conventional areas to positions of authority.

Shetty, a native of Kano State, revealed this in a statement on Saturday after her nomination was withdrawn and Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, another native of Kano State, took her place.
