Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has expressed his joy and satisfaction with the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) upholding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 Presidential election. During an interview with Channels Television, Mr. Wike shared his thoughts on the verdict and extended his congratulations to President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.
In his statement, Nyesom Wike expressed his happiness with the PEPT’s decision and described it as a moment of joy for him. He celebrated President Tinubu’s victory and commended the judiciary for their diligent work in delivering the judgment, noting that it took them more than 10 hours to do so.
He said; “I am happy with the judgement and it’s a moment of joy for me. I celebrate with Mr. President and I congratulate him and his vice, Shettima. For me, it’s by the grace of God that this is made possible and I also commend the judiciary for their wonderful delivery. It took them more than 10 hours to deliver that judgement, one must commend them.”
