Put One Eye On the Judiciary and One Eye On the Palliative Distribution — Sen. Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has advised Nigerians to have an eye on the judiciary and another on the distribution of palliative items, stressing magic might just happen at whichever of the two sides they take their eyes off before they realize it.

The former federal lawmaker wrote:

“Put one eye on the Judiciary and one eye on the palliative distribution, please. If you put all eyes in one place, magic may happen in the other place before you are back.”

The senator’s eye-on-the-judiciary comment is a reference to the recent campaign tagged #AllEyesOnTheJuciary which calls Nigerians to be vigilant and carefully watch the actions of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) to forestall a miscarriage of justice.

But the majority of Nigerians who reacted to the senator’s tweet said they would rather focus their attention 100% on the judiciary to ensure nothing untoward happens there than bother themselves about the so-called palliative. Many argued that the palliative items being shared amount to nothing and, therefore, deserve no attention whatsoever.
