Ajuri Ngelale Reveals Reason Why Tinubu Recalled All Ambassadors

The Daily Trust paper reported this evening online that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu explained why he called back all of Nigeria’s ambassadors, including career and non-career diplomats, from their overseas assignments.

Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar said that this action serves President Tinubu’s “renewed hope agenda.”

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, released a statement in which he said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had made this decision after surveying the state of affairs at Nigerian Consulate Offices and Embassies around the world.

He explained that the goal was to improve the efficiency and quality of domestic and international service delivery for all citizens, residents, and potential tourists.

Because of this month’s United Nations General Assembly, Nigeria’s UN Permanent Representatives in New York and Geneva are immune from this recall.

He declared, “President Bola Tinubu has directed the recall of all career and non-career ambassadors from their duty posts around the world. After reviewing the current situation in Nigerian Consulate Offices and Embassies globally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued the following directive:

He continued, saying, “In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, the President is determined to ensure that world-class efficiency and quality will henceforth characterise foreign and domestic service delivery to citizens, residents, and prospective visitors alike.”
