• As Businessman Picks PDP Membership Card
In the effort towards complementing the good works of Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, in ensuring adequate security in the rural Council, a business mogul, Chief Mentus Okema, on 12th of June, 2022, provided security logistics, worth over two million naira to Nrobo Neighborhood Watch group.
The security equipments were presented to the security group by Mr. Umunna GOC, the Divisional Police officer of Nimbo, at an event, attended by Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, the Executive Chairman of the LGA; a retired Superintendent of police, Chief Obochi Christopher (Ogbuneche-ndo); the President General of the community, Mr. Idiga Christopher; Chief Emmanuel Ogbuanya, PDP chairman of Nrobo Ward; Chief Ogbuefi Dangold, Onatara-Dike Mma na Nrobo; former Leader of Uzo Uwani legislative house, Mr. Oliji Josephat and Paul Chinekwu, Senior special Assistant to the local government chairman.
Others present were PDP Youth leader of the LGA, Apostle Mike Ogbobe; Mr. Nwabueze Livinus (Nkenkenyi), fomer member of Igbo-ano development centre; Nnadi Linus, General manager of Remax Hotel; Mr. Ugwoke Thaddeus, Mr. Benjamin Oliji, etcetera.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani local government area, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, commended Chief Mentus Okema for providing the security equipments, while encouraging other good spirited individuals to copy his example.
The Council Chairman also, lauded the peaceful disposition of members of the community, while assuring them of his continued efforts in ensuring security in the LGA.
Earlier before the remarks, the DPO of Nimbo had drilled the neighborhood watch personnel on proper usage of the equipments provided by the businessman, while describing the assistance as timely.
Meanwhile, Chief Mentus Okema, Chief Ogbuefi Dangold and a retired Superintendent of police, Chief Obochi Christopher, used the opportunity to pick membership cards of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which were presented to them by the chairman of the party in Nrobo Ward, Chief Emmanuel Ogbuanya.
