Appointed Ministers finish documentation, to be sworn in today by Tinubu

The necessary documentation for all 45 appointed ministers was completed over the weekend. According to Punch, the process took place at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in Abuja.

As part of the process, each minister-designate received three invitation cards for their guests.

Today, President Bola Tinubu will conduct the swearing-in ceremony for them at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as scheduled. Willie Bassey, the Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), confirmed that the documentation process went smoothly.

The process began on Saturday and witnessed a high turnout, with the remaining ministerial nominees completing it on Sunday. He also confirmed that all the 45 appointed ministers have received their invitation cards for their guests.

To ensure a smooth transportation process, arrangements have been made for appointed ministers and their three guests to be conveyed to the State House Conference Center at Aso Villa in Abuja.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, permanent secretaries are instructed to meet with their respective ministers at the Office of the Secretary to the Government for further interaction.

Bassey also provided information regarding media coverage of the event. Accredited journalists covering Aso Villa will have automatic entry to the venue. Alternatively, a link will be provided for others to access a clean feed of the ceremony.

In preparation for the ceremony, heightened security measures have been put in place at the Presidential Villa. No private vehicles, including those of the ministers-designate and their guests, will be allowed entry. Additionally, visitors and ministers-designate may be subject to biometric capture for increased security.
