The president has accused them of taking over property belonging to the people as their and even filed a case in court yet they never paid a single shilling as compensation.
He has also moved to order them to immediately withdraw all the cases that they have filed claiming that no one can dispute public property in court.
“Maneno ya Mumias Boni Khalwale amesema ati kuna watu pale na kweli ile maneno amesema. Kuna watu wakora, matapeli ati wameenda wakasema ati walikuwa wamenunua ile co-generation facility pale. Wameenda sijui kuleta bank gani wamepeka mahali fulani. Mimi nimefanya uchunguzi hakuna hata shillingi moja walilipa. Mtu anaweza kuchukua mali ya wananchi bila kulipa pesa. So ile makesi yote iko pale ni makesi yan ukora na nimeambia hawa watu toeni kesi kwa mambo ya Mumias kwa sababu hii ni mali ya wananchi. Hakuna kesi itafanyiwa mali ya wananchi,” said President William Ruto.
