I'll retire Atiku to Fombina, buy him goats, layers and broilers for him to rear – Kashim Shettima jokes

Vice President Kashim Shettima has made a statement regarding the 2023 Presidential Election Tribunal verdict and his intentions towards the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Following the recent judgment that upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and himself, Shettima announced that he intends to ensure that Atiku Abubakar not only exits from politics but also engages in livestock farming in Fombina, Adamawa State.

The judgment delivered by Justice Tsammani and colleagues at the Presidential Election Tribunal rejected the petitions filed by the PDP, Labour Party, and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) against President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, and INEC, solidifying the election results in favor of Tinubu and Shettima.

In a video posted by Channels TV, Vice President Shettima expressed his views on the tribunal’s decision, commending the Nigerian judiciary for its role in upholding justice and fairness amid what he referred to as “sirens of deception.”

“We are not going to retire Atiku Abubakar to Dubai or Morocco. I will retire him to Fombina, I will buy him goats, layers and broilers so that he can spend his days rearing goats and broilers.”

Shettima’s statement regarding Atiku Abubakar has stirred attention. He said that he does not intend to retire Atiku to foreign destinations like Dubai or Morocco but rather intends to “retire” him to Fombina, where he will be engaged in managing goats, layers, and broilers.
