Embrace National Interests Over Personal Interests, Ben Murray-Bruce advises Obi, Atiku

Former senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has called on petitioners to prioritize the nation’s welfare over personal interests following the tribunal’s judgment affirming President Bola Tinubu’s victory.

Vanguard reports that in his response to the tribunal’s ruling, Murray-Bruce emphasized that respecting the court’s verdict as the ‘people’s decision’ is essential to preserve democracy and avoid prolonged legal battles.

He remarked that we must uphold the Jonathan doctrine by acknowledging the people’s choice after elections, regardless of personal preferences. He also emphasized that our electoral processes should not linger in courtrooms. He added that since we are in this situation now, we should prioritize our national interests, embrace the verdict, and move forward for the country’s progress.

Murray-Bruce unequivocally declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the duly elected and undisputed President of Nigeria, urging Nigerians to consider the judgment as final, erasing any doubts or questions about the election’s integrity.

Commending the judges of the Presidential Election Petition Court for their remarkable work, he celebrated the victory of democracy, expressing his admiration for both President Tinubu and his challengers.
