Former Minister of State of Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN has revealed that he never knew he could be nominated as a minister under the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration. He made this known during the screening exercise organized for ministerial nominees by the Senate at Abuja, while appreciating the President for considering him for a ministerial appointment.

In summary, he said: ‘ My being here is by the grace of God and by the special benevolence of President Bola Tinubu, I had lost hope of becoming a Minister. I had already packed my bags for vacation with my family before I heard about my nomination as a minister, so I am happy to be here ‘.

Meanwhile, Keyamo’s screening was halted by the Senate as some lawmakers called for the suspension of his screening until he clarify his past role in government.
