Former Ekiti Gov, Fayemi Pictured Together With His Successor, Biodun Oyebanji At An Event Yesterday

The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has been pictured together with his successor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at an event in Ekiti yesterday.

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji said on his verified Facebook page; “I attended the funeral service held in honour of the former Chairman of the Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum, Chief George Akosile, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 90.”

He added; “Baba was a dedicated progressive thinker, an exemplary public servant, and incomparable in his efforts toward the progress and development of our state and nation. During his time as the state chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) from 2003 to 2006, he was an outstanding defender of the defenseless and a voice for the voiceless in the quest to build a united and progressive party, which eventually evolved into the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and later the All Progressives Congress (APC). He also served in my first cabinet as Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Matters and was an astute and dedicated adviser.”
