Family Weep As Sammie Okposo Laid To Rest In Lagos

Weeping was the other of the day on Thursday for relatives and friends of popular Gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo as he was buried in Lagos.

Biztellers could recall that Okposo, the CEO of Zamar Entertainment, passed away on November 25, at the age of 51.

Contrary to rumors that he slumped and passed away, his manager claimed that he napped and didn’t wake up.

The moment Okposo was laid to rest with relatives and friends paying their final respects was captured on film by our correspondent.

On Tuesday, Tope Alabi, Timi Dakolo, and two other musicians performed at a night of honors for the singer at La Madison Place in Oniru, Lagos.

Top celebs like AY Comedian, Ali Baba, Charles Inojie, Segun Arinze, and Desmond Elliot were among those present at the event.

Okposo first gained widespread attention with the release of his debut single, “Welu Welu,” which was on his debut album, “Unconditional Love.”

He followed up the single with other, more popular songs like “Na just you,” which was included on the album “No More Drama.”

On November 4, 2022, he had his final performance at the Sammie Okposo Praise Party in Lagos.
