I Cannot Recognize Bola Tinubu In An Office That Does Not Exist, We Are In Tribunal- Ayo Adebanjo
It is no longer news that Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere has been vehemently against the emergence of Bola Tinubu as president.
Recall that before the 2023 presidential election, the elder statesman supported the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi who came third in the presidential election.
Speaking in a recent interview with Arise , Pa Ayo Adebanjo disclosed that he cannot recognize president Bola Tinubu in an office that does not exist.

He said until the judgement from the presidential election petition court on the legitimate winner of the 2023 presidential election is delivered, he will not comment on the performance of Bola Tinubu in office as president.
He said “I cannot recognize him (Bola Tinubu) in an office that does not exist. I don’t follow the propaganda that he has done that, they are missing the issue. Until this thing is done finally by the court, then we know where we are going. Even if the court decide, you can still express an opinion. I’m not commenting on his abilities now, that’s not the stand of Afenifere, it is the free, fair and credible election that we are questioning. We are in tribunal now, we are waiting for their decision. I can’t approve and reprobate. I won’t comment on his activities as president, the election is still in process.”
