Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head of public affairs and protocol, stated in a statement that Mmesoma’s exam score was 249 as opposed to the 362 she is displaying. According to the group, Miss Ejikeme will be charged with tampering with the outcome. According to the report, Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma received a scholarship of N3 million from Innoson Motors’ founder, Innocent Chukwuma, for her score of 362 in the 2023 UTME.

In order to obtain her UTME results, Miss Mmesoma had sent a message to the Board’s site. She then manually upped her scores and placed them onto the 2022 UTME result sheet. She is unaware of the change in the board’s 2023 UTME result sheet design. Since nothing can alter that, her initial score of 249 still stands. Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme’s original result would be withdrawn due to her corrupt act, for which she would face prosecution. This is not all, as the Board will later look into any claims made by candidates regarding greater scores than they actually received. The original results of such a candidate would be immediately revoked upon discovery, and the appropriate security authorities would bring charges against them.
