Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, the Minister of Police Affairs has revealed that indiscipline would not be allowed among members of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
According to DAILY POST NEWS, he made this known through a statement released of recent while stressing that there would be some reforms within the force following his appointment as the Minister in charge.
In brief, he said: ” We will not tolerate indiscipline within the police force and discipline must be observed by all officers, regardless of rank or cadre. This avenue is a crucial opportunity for fruitful discussions and exchanging ideas on formulating a robust working plan for the Nigeria Police. As someone who has served as a Governor and Chief Security Officer of one of the most embattled states affected by Boko Haram for over a decade, I understand the urgent need for police reform by global best practices in policing to ensure public safety “.
