Tribunal: We will do everything lawful towards rescuing the stolen mandate of Atiku & Okowa- PDP

At the end of the PDP governorship forum today in Abuja, they issued a communique, part of which said that all governors and organs of the party are in total support of their party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his vice, Ifeanyi Okowa and that they will do everything lawful towards rescuing the stolen mandate at the Presidential Tribunal.

The governorship Forum meeting was led by Senator Bala Mohammed, Bauchi state governor. Governor Ademola Adeleke among other PDP governors was in attendance. The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his vice, were also at the meeting.

However, at the end of the meeting, they issued a communique, that addressed the following,

1. The meeting emphasised the need for party discipline and reiterate zero tolerance to anti-party activities and sabotage.

2. The meeting committed to repositioning and stabilising the party. The healing and reconciliation process is in progress.

3. The meeting signals unity and loyalty as single core value of PDP

4. All Governors and organs of the party solidly support Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa in rescuing the stolen mandate in the tribunal, and we would do everything lawful towards achieving this.

5. Governors would work in partnership with parties at state and national levels to ensure good governance, transparency and accountability.

6. The meeting congratulate the party for panelling the campaign council for the off-season elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states.

7. The meeting counsel the federal government to show leadership in curtailing cost of governance. 47 ministers and several special advisers and assistants would be reduced to endure the health of the economy by reducing costs.

8. The meeting advise the president not to go into any form of war with Niger over the recent military, coup in the country. Rather all tools of dialogue through diplomatic means should be explored.
