'INEC Said They Were At 33% Of Collation When They were directed to Announce the result' – Bode George

Former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Bode George, has raised serious concerns regarding the 2023 election, particularly in light of INEC’s claim that they were only 33% through the process of collating election results when they were instructed to announce a winner. He firmly believes that this situation should have invalidated the entire election. In his view, the judiciary’s role should not be to declare a winner but rather to call for a fresh rerun, ensuring a genuinely free and fair electoral process. He emphasizes the importance of letting the will of the people, not the will of judges, determine the outcome.

During an interview with Arise Tv news, Chief Bode George stressed that his stance transcends political affiliations, as he is a member of the PDP. He is not advocating for the automatic declaration of his party or any specific candidate as the winner. Instead, he points out that INEC itself admitted to being at just 33% of the collation process when directed to announce results. This revelation, in his opinion, should have triggered a halt to any interference and manipulation, allowing the electoral process to unfold naturally. His perspective also draws parallels with a similar situation during the 2007 election under President Yar’adua, highlighting the need to avoid repeating past mistakes and to consider the well-being of the suffering masses.
