Adamu & Tinubu Were Govs Between 1999 To 2007, They Were Among Persons Who Challenged Obasanjo-Sambo

A political analyst, Mr Sumner Sambo, has disclosed that the immediate past National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Adamu and President Tinubu were both governors between 1999 and 2007, noting that they were among some individuals who stood up then and challenged Obasanjo’s policies.

Speaking further, Mr Sambo noted that both Abdullahi Adamu and Bola Tinubu are not politicians that could be pushed aside so easily, describing Abdullahi Adamu as a principled and fearless politician that can dare anyone.

Mr Sambo made this disclosure when he was being interviewed on Arise Television, as he was reacting to the reported resignation of Abdullahi Adamu as the APC National Chairman.

He said: “Himself (Adamu Abdullahi) and Tinubu were Governors between 1999 to 2007 and during National Economic Council Meeting, both of them usually sit closely. They were always joking and were among the persons who stood up to challenge Obasanjo’s policies.”

On the other hand, Mr Sambo noted that he had expected a response from Abdullahi Adamu, when the APC National Vice Chairman, Mr Salihu Lukman raised a critical point that Bola Tinubu did not receive ₦1 from the party during his presidential campaign.

In addition, Mr Sambo noted that from all indications, it appears that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, does not want Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman of the party.

With this recent development in the ruling All Progressives Congress, Nigerians are waiting to see how it will all end. What is your take on this particular issue? You can drop your comments and opinions below.
