Adamu allegedly worked against emergence of Tinubu; now that Tinubu has won, he has no choice- Hon Bernard Mikko

According to a report by the Daily Post online newspaper earlier today, Honourable Bernard Mikko, former APC governorship aspirant in Rivers state, alleged that Abdullahi Adamu, newly resigned national chairman of the APC, worked against the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that now that Tinubu has won the election, he has no choice than to resign.

Daily Post quotes his statement from the interview he did with Arise during the Morning Show program today, and was asked whether there is crisis in the party especially with Adamu’s resignation.

Hon Bernard said there is no crisis in the party. He alleged that Abdullahi Adamu worked against Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence before the presidential primaries and after the presidential primaries and Tinubu won and became the party candidate, he said Abdullahi Adamu still worked against him. He claimed that Abdullahi Adamu had his anointed person who he preferred over Tinubu.

Bernard then said that now that Tinubu has won, he has no choice than to resigned just has he had done. He said that even his chairmanship is long overdue and that he should have resigned earlier.

Hear him (in part)

“First of all, there is not crisis in the party. Second one is that his resignation should not come as a surprise. It’s even belated…But he worked against the emergence of Tinubu. When Tinubu emerged as the preferred candidate, he also worked against his candidature. Now that our President has won, he has no choice.”
