Wike's reply when asked which Party's flag He's going to hang in his office as the new FCT Minister

During the inauguration of the 45 ministers who were screened and cleared by the Nigerian Senate, including Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, a journalist asked him about the choice of party flag he would be flying as he assumes office. This practice is often followed by ministers to indicate their political allegiance. Wike’s response highlighted his focus on the important tasks at hand rather than symbolic gestures.

Wike expressed his view that the concern should not be about the party flag he would be flying, but rather about the pressing issues at hand, such as restoring the Federal Capital Territory, improving infrastructure, and addressing challenges.

He stated his commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the people of the FCT and working for the betterment of the region, regardless of the party flag. He even humorously mentioned that he would use any flag, even the world’s flag, if it helped to address the real issues and challenges faced by the FCT.

Why are we concentrating on flag? Bring APC, PDP or Labour Party, I will use them if that is the problem here, as he’s there to satisfy Nigerians, work for FCT and to achieve the promises the President made to the people of FCT.
