"Tinubu Might Later Increase The Palliative From N8k; His Own Will Differ From Buhari's N5k" – Hon Chijioke Okoro

Honorable Chijioke Okoro, a former governorship aspirant in Abia state, was a guest on Africa Independent Television (AIT) last night where he gave more insights to the palliative Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has put in place to cushion subsidy removal’s effects.

Honorable Chijioke Okoro said, “the thing here is that President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has introduced palliative to show Nigerians that he wants to save the situation. He might even later increase the palliative from eight thousand naira (N8,000) to something better. I am very sure his own will be different from former president Muhammadu Buhari’s five thousand naira (N5k) that was mismanaged and enjoyed by those giving it.”

Speaking further, Honorable Chijioke Okoro said, “after introducing the palliative, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu assured Nigerians that it will get to them and I believe it will. Another thing we should note however is that the palliative is not a salary.”

Lastly, Honorable Chijioke Okoro said, “since President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the N500b to caution fuel subsidy removal, he has been facing criticisms. I agree that there is no actual database of the poorest of the poor in Nigeria but I believe he will listen to the constructive criticisms and come up with ideas to get things solved.”
