A Biafran Agitator Is Now Defending The Suspended CBN Governor, What's The Connection?— DSS Asks

The Department Of State Services, DSS, has described the lawyer defending the suspended Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, as a Biafran Agitator and a supporter of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB). In a series of tweets on its official Twitter handle yesterday, DSS stated that an uninformed IPOB’s lawyer, Maxwell Okpara has mobilised lawyers against the Director General of the security agency to secure the release of Godwin Emefiele.

DSS suspects that there might be a connection between IPOB and Emefiele because of the way the IPOB lawyer is defending him. The secret police added that Maxwell Okpara needs to be enlightened on how the rule of law works.

“Charge and bail, overzealous uninformed IPOB/ESN lawyer Maxwell Okpara mobilises other like-minded lawyers against DSS. Futile Efforts. Well, Nigerians, beware! This is in bad faith. Transferred aggression. A Biafran Republic agitator and Outlawed IPOB counsel defending the suspended CBN Governor. Is IPOB defending one of them? What a contradiction. what’s the connection? Is someone telling us something? May Maxwell be properly educated on points of law, please.” The tweets read.
