Arewa Group Declares War On Wike After He Did This

The Northern Awareness Movement (NAM) has criticized Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for his unrelenting verbal attacks on the person of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The NAM has described Wike’ s actions as a smear campaign against the entire Northern region of the country. Wike is running for president of Nigeria.

In a statement released on Thursday, its coordinator, Muhammed Inuwa, reacted to the uncontrollable attacks that Wike has been making against Atiku by saying that it has become imperative to call Wike to order and call his bluff before he sets the entire country on fire with his verbal diarrhea. The fact that Wike was unsuccessful in his attempt to acquire the People’ s Democratic Party’ s presidential nomination was the initial cause of the party’ s internal turmoil. In spite of this, attempts made since then to appease Wike’ s group have been greeted with stubborn resistance.

Inuwa made the observation that given that all efforts to appease Wike and his camp have not been met with a positive response, it is now essential to recognize that there is an underlying tension to the entire problem. It was made abundantly plain by the organization that other sister Arewa groups would not hesitate to treat Wike and his accomplices as an enemy of the North if they continued their pattern of persistent attacks on the region.
