Kuje: We Had 65 Military Personnel Who Were Armed But Failed To Protect The Facilities -Aregbesola

Aregbesola stated that a total of 65 military personnel from the Air Force, Army, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were present at the Kuje correctional facilities prior to the launch of the attack, and that these personnel were fully armed; however, they were unable to protect the facilities from being attacked. Although these personnel were fully armed, Aregbesola stated that these personnel failed to protect the facilities from being attacked. He stated that it is the responsibility of the military personnel at the prison to assist in and prevent any attack on the facility, but he won’t be able to identify the precise weaponry that are at their disposal because of their duties.
Aregbesola will be required to appear at an executive interaction with members of the National Security and Intelligence Committee, as a result of a decision made by those committee members.
