2023: Resist Imposition Of Candidates, Group Warns Deltans

Less than thirteen months to the general election, a group under the aegis of Delta youth coalition has warned all Deltans to make sure they resist imposition of candidates.
On Thursday, 21 April, 2022, the President- General of the group, Mr. Chibuzor Agunwa, made the reveal while talking to newsmen in Asaba.
Chibuzor Agunwa urged all Deltans to always support deepening democracy in Delta by resisting any form of imposition of political candidates.
He asked them to come out on election day and ensure they cast their vote for the right leader.
While stating this, Chibuzor thanked the chairman of the electoral Commission, the independent national electoral commission for the new electoral law of electronic transmission of poll result, as he said that the electronic transmission of results will help in mitigating election malpractice.
Speaking further, he said that this is the right time for everyone in Nigeria to exercise their constitutional and civic right as core Nigerians by removing bad politicians from public offices using their voter’ s card.
” We have gone round, sensitized the grassroots, we are mobilizing young people and female genders across all the local government areas in the state. We have a standard website for membership drive” he maintained
He stretched that the group has successfully created 25 branches across all 25 local government areas of Delta state.
As the election draws closer, many groups and institutions have been clamouring on voting for the right person. A lot of groups have asked Nigerians to be careful so as to ensure that the mistake that was done in 2015 won’ t repeat itself.
Nigerians have been asked to vote for young and vibrant individuals who has the right zeal to push the country forward. Nigeria will be having their general election in the first quarter of 2023.
