socialite and skincare mogul hailing from Lagos State, Farida Sobowale AbdulKhadir, has come forward to reveal that her brush with suicide was spurred by the searing pain of betrayal inflicted by her beloved husband, whom she held in deep affection.

On Thursday evening, Sobowale’s distressing episode unfolded as she was intercepted during an attempt to leap into the lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.

In the aftermath of her recovery from the ordeal, Farida expressed her gratitude in a widely circulated audio message. She extended her thanks to those who intervened and saved her life, as well as to her fans. She also emphasized that her actions were driven by love.

She shared that her estranged husband had pledged commitment to standing by her side till the very end and ensure she also becomes a mother. However, he fell short of these promises.

The Socialite went on to reveal that she experienced a sense of depression, particularly due to the viral amplification of her marriage collapse by Gistlover, a prominent gossip blog on social media.

Farida extended an apology to her family members, expressing a heartfelt plea for their forgiveness if her attempt to end her life caused embarrassment to them.
